This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and guard your information when you use our mobile application and services. Because Talyu is designed for families, we treat data privacy with the highest level of care.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we store your email address and authentication ID (via Supabase) to manage your account and credits.
- Voice Data (Crucial): To use the "Instant Voice Cloning" feature, you provide a short audio recording of your voice. This recording is used solely to generate a unique voice model for reading stories.
- Input Data: Text prompts or choices you select (e.g., "A story about a dragon") are processed to generate story text.
- Usage Data: We track how many "Story Dust" credits you have used and which stories you have saved to your library.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Voice Cloning: Your voice recording is processed by our third-party partner, ElevenLabs, to create your custom voice model. We do not use your voice for any purpose other than generating audio for your account.
- Story Generation: Your story topics are processed by OpenRouter (AI text models) to write the stories.
- Storage: Your saved stories and audio files are securely stored using Supabase.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
- Parental Gate: Talyu is intended to be used by parents for their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent.
- No Data Selling: We strictly do not sell any user data, especially data related to children or voice recordings, to third parties.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We trust the following providers to help operate Talyu. They are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us:
- Supabase: Database, Authentication, and File Storage.
- ElevenLabs: Voice Synthesis and Voice Cloning technology.
- OpenRouter: AI Text Generation.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Retaining Data: We keep your voice model and saved stories as long as your account is active.
- Deleting Data: You have the right to be forgotten. If you delete your account inside the app settings, all your data—including your voice model, saved audio, and email—is permanently deleted from our servers and our partners' servers immediately.
